Dia dhaoibh! My name is Caitríona and I’m the Principal here in Pelletstown Educate Together National School. I’m delighted to have been in this role since the school opened in September 2015. It has been lovely to watch our school continue to grow and develop since then, when we opened with 45 Junior Infants. I am originally from Dublin 7, so am local to the area! I love teaching children about human rights and being a global citizen, and have worked in this area in Moldova and Uganda. I also love teaching music and choir in school. In my spare time I enjoy playing piano, practicing yoga and walking in the Phoenix Park!

I am originally from Blanchardstown and attended local schools in Dublin 15. I have been teaching for many years and I joined the Pelletstown school community in 2015, when the school first opened. I was delighted to accept the role of Deputy Principal in November 2016 and I am very excited to help the school develop over the next number of years. I have a keen interest in Gaeilge and Maths and thoroughly enjoy teaching these subjects in the classroom. I enjoy using ICT to create fun and interactive lessons to keep the children motivated in learning. I believe mindfulness and physical activity are a crucial part of daily learning and try to incorporate these wherever possible. Outside of school, I enjoy baking, yoga and GAA. Up the DUBS! :)

Hi, my name is Áine and I am a teacher here in Pelletstown ETNS. I have been part of this school since January 2017, where I was a part time learning support teacher. My favourite colour is pink and my favourite movie of all time is The Sound of Music! I also have a huge interest in Irish dancing. I danced for 16 years and competed in competitions all around the world! I am originally from Whitehall in Dublin. I studied a BA in Irish and Geography in St. Patrick’s College and then went on to do a Professional Masters in Primary Teaching. I have a keen interest in Irish and Art and I love teaching them in the classroom.

Hi, my name is Kate. I am a teacher in Pelletstown Educate Together N.S. I’m originally from Dublin 15 and attended primary school in the local area. I was delighted to join Pelletstown ETNS this year and so far I have loved every minute of it! While I enjoy teaching all subjects I have a keen interest in Gaeilge, Maths and Science and love teaching these subjects in the classroom. I also really enjoy engaging in Aistear with the children as we explore and learn about a range of themes such as the Opticians, the Hospital and the Toy Shop. I believe that daily mindfulness and physical activity play an important role in the well-being of children and therefore I carry these practices out daily with the children.

Hi everyone! I have been teaching since 2013 and joined this wonderful school in August 2016. I grew up in the countryside in County Wicklow and since I was in primary school I wanted to become a teacher! I learned how to play violin and piano when I was younger. I have always loved to sing and sing with friends all the time. My favourite subjects to teach are Art and Music. Like Pablo Picasso, I believe that all children are artists and I love to see what they can create! I enjoy travelling during our holidays and love learning about new cultures.

Hello! I’m Ciara and I have been teaching in Pelletstown since 2016. Before that, I taught in Citywest ETNS and North Bay ETNS. I love reading, and have loads of storybooks in my room. I also like making up stories – the sillier the better! I really like teaching English and Maths, and love to use games because I think children learn better when things are fun! I really like languages and I speak Gaeilge and French, and I love learning words in all the different languages that the children in our school speak. My hobby outside of school is sailing, and I’ve been doing it since I was 8 years old. I’m busy minding baby Thea at the moment, but can’t wait to come back to school and see everyone again soon.

Dia dhaoibh gach duine! My name is Claire and this year I’m a first class teacher here in Pelletstown ETNS. I am originally from Dublin 15 and went to primary school just up the road! I love to teach all the subjects, but my favourite subjects are Maths, Science and Gaeilge. I believe that mindfulness and exercise are very important and help us to work better during the day. It might be ten jumping jacks or ten deep breaths, but little breaks are good for our brain! Outside of school I like to go for walks in the park and I’m also a big sports fan. Hockey and GAA are my favourite sports! I always have a book in my bag and love to read. When you see me, you can ask me what book I’m reading at the minute! As my favourite author, Dr Seuss, says “the more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn the more places you’ll go.”

Hi everyone! My name is Katie and I’m from Cork but I’ve been living in Dublin for 13 years. Previous to this I was working with the Dublin South City Partnership delivering the “Parent Child Home Programme” to local children in Dublin 8,10 & 12 areas. From this programme I decided to train as an SNA and I’m currently pursuing the QQI in Early Childhood Education and Care part time. I absolutely love working with children and trying to help them in any way possible. Hi, my name is Paul. I am from Mayo, which is next to the Atlantic Ocean. I am one of three English-language teachers here at Pelletstown ETNS. Our job is to help learners with their English so that they can enjoy their time in the classroom and make new friends.
